Founded in 2005 in Istanbul, Türkiye (Turkey), Boyut Plastik has grown to become a significant player in the edge banding industry. Since 2010, Boyut Plastik has been a proud member of ALIM Grup, which was established in 2001 in Istanbul to export wood-based panels to the Balkans and Southeast Europe. In 2022, ALIM Grup exported over 350,000 cubic meters of wood-based panels and more than 100 million linear meters of PVC, ABS, and PP Edge Band.  Ongoing investments of the group are, two solar power plants with 14 MW total capacity ( one in North Macedonia, one in Türkiye ) and a water bottling plant in Kosovo.

In 2012, Boyut Plastik invested in a state-of-the-art edge banding factory, further showcasing its commitment to innovation and growth in the industry. Aiming to further increase its market share in the global markets, Boyut Plastik employs 400 full-time equivalent (FTE) professionals and remains a privately-owned company.
