Organisers of Materials & Finishes Show have enlisted the help of some familiar faces to ensure that its relaunch event this May connects with modern audiences. 

Visitors to Materials & Finishes Show (NEC 19 - 22 May, 2024) will be able to see demonstrations and seminars from online content creators including self confessed carpentry, joinery and building fanatic, Robin Clevett, and media personality and carpenter, Tibby Singh. They will be joined by fellow online content creators including Peter Millard, Alastiar Johnson (Freebird Interiors) and Derek Barrett Design.

Robin, who boasts over 113,000 YouTube subscribers, more than 40,000 Instagram Followers and hosts The Carpentry Show in FIX Radio, will play a hands-on role as part of the Live Demo Zone area, as well as compering a special panel on the main seminar stage.

Tibby Singh will play a prominent role as part of the campaign for the UK’s trade show for the furniture manufacturing and joinery industries. Visitors will also be able to meet Tibby in the flesh and watch participate in practical sessions as part of the Live Demo Zone.

The Channel 4 Changing Rooms resident carpenter has amassed an audience of over 50,000   across TikTok, Youtube, Facebook, X and LinkedIn with his expert content, which includes product testing and reviews as well as live joinery and carpentry video demonstrations. 

Event director, David Todd comments: “For the first time ever, we’ve been working with some of the joinery and carpentry industries' most talented and exciting online content creators to help deliver the show to a wider audience. 

“There will be several familiar faces from the online community for joiners and carpenters across the four days of the show. We’re also inviting visitors to join Robin, Tibby and friends for refreshments at our Happy Hour event at 1.30pm on Monday 20th May on the Materials & Finishes Show Bar.

As well as seeing the latest products, software and tools, take advantage of being able to speak first hand to the manufacturers and suppliers behind the brands who are lined up and ready to take your questions. Materials & Finishes Show is the UK’s trade show for the furniture manufacturing and joinery industries. It is the primary platform for carpenters, joiners, machinists and installers to see running machinery, the latest materials, components, software, tools and innovations for the woodworking sector.
