Organisers of Materials & Finishes Show (formerly W Exhibition), which takes place at the NEC Birmingham from Sunday 19 - Wednesday 22 May, 2024, have announced the programme for its brand new Live Demo Zone.

Visitors to the UK’s trade show for the furniture manufacturing and joinery industries will be able to watch four-days of live and interactive demonstrations as part of the new show feature. 

Alongside networking with the entire industry under one roof, visitors will be able to see thousands of the latest products on the UK market and speak directly to leading manufacturers and suppliers for the woodworking sector.

The new Live Demo Zone will include running machinery and demonstrations from brands including Advanced Machinery Services (Wadkin Bursgreen), Leitz Tooling, The Joinery Network, Lamello, GreCon, Trend Tool Technology and Rubio Monocoat who will be showcasing their products across the four days of the show.

Event director, David Todd said: “Materials & Finishes Show visitors will not want to miss our brand new Live Demo Zone where they’ll be able to see running machinery and live product demonstrations from tooling, paint and finishing brands. They’ll be able to get hands-on, watch practical demonstrations and see new products, innovations and technology come to life for joiners and carpenters in a way like we’ve never done before at the show.”

“Rubio Monocoat will be running timed challenges and competitions with various spray applications of their interior and exterior product range - as well as revolutionary new product, DuroGrit - marking the first time it will be showcased in the UK! Join them for the chance to understand their products better and learn how to get the most out of wood finishing!

“AMS, Leitz Tooling and The Joinery Network’s Ligna demonstration, which will include the end-to-end construction of a timber window frame on a Wadkin Bursgreen machine. Lookout for Lamello’s tool demonstrations where you’ll be able to see its brand new Cabineo X drilling system connector and Clamex S-20 detachable connector for the Lamello system in action!

“GreCon's EdgeInspect, with patented technology to ensure the highest quality of finish, will also be showcased for the first time in the UK on the Live Demo Zone. Visitors will also be able to see Trend Tool Technology’s portable CNC machine up close and in action and take part in hands-on demos with carpentry expert, media personality and online content creator Tibby Singh.”
